Benvolio suggest Romeo to find another girl at the end of Scene 1. In secene 2 Capulet talks to Paris about marrying his daughter. Capulet Family gives a party for Paris and Juliet meet. Invitations ara given to a servent and an illeterate servant asks Romeo to read the invitations. And In scene 5 Romeo sees Juliet and at that minute he forgets Rosalin. He goes and touches her hand accidentally. They kiss eachother. At the end of the scene they learn that their love is impossible as their family is in feud. And this make reader of the plays more curious about what is going to happen next.

The writer starts the play with a fight between two enemy families.Romeo is the son of first family and Juliet is the daughter of second family.In act I, Romeo loves Rosaline and Juliet will marry Paris.At that time Juliet's father gives a party and Romeo and Juliet meet at this party and this meeting will be the starting point for everybody. Romeo and Juliet kiss eachother and love eachother and later they learn their family's relationship. They are very unhappy. Except for other events, the meeting of Romeo and Juliet appeals me, too.

We can understand from the very beginning that this love will be impossible because there is a big kinship between families and it is really ironic to learn that it is the death of the two learners not the love between them that make this family come together and finish this kinship
To me,the first time that Romeo meets with juliet is really ironic ,because Romeo forgets his love immeddeiately after he sees Juliet.Poor Rosaline :))
I love the quatotation ‘romeo Romeo why are u Romeo ‘It explains their position very well as they are the children of two antoganist family.The end is clear from the end.:)

The prologue tells exactly what is the play is going to be about. It explains that there are two families that are feuding. The two lovers in this story are from opposing households. This raises a striking question for the audience.It is ; if Romeo and Juliet's deaths could have been avoided if their families had stopped their feud.
Act 1
*The scene opens in the street of Verona.Servants of the house of Capulet are discussing their enemies,the Montagues,when two of the Montague servants enter.It shows the bloody past of two families.This fight makes the Prince angry and he threatens death to anyone who creates a problem again.
In Romeo's part,we see that (from Benvolio)he is in love with someone who will not respond to his advances and he quickly advises him to forget her and find someone else to desparate Romeo.
In scene two,Romeo and Benvolio decide to attend Capulet's dinner,Romeo wants to go to see Rosaline and Benvolio wants him to go to make comparison between Rosaline and other ladies.
In scene three,Juliet accepts to marry with Paris as her family is content with him,she neglects her thoughts.
Scene four passes with preparation for the Capulet's party for Romeo,Benvolio and Mercuito.Romeo feels that his life will be dragged to sorrow and unhappiness,alas that is true.
Scene five Romeo and Juliet see eachother,and they fall in love at first sight.
Their meeting sets the story moving and is the initial incident of the tragedy.

The play starts with a quarrel between the servants of the feuding households prompting the Prince to threaten both sides to keep the peace on pain of death. In that time, Romeo falls in love with Rosaline but she does not return his affections. Benvolio advises his lovesick friend Romeo to abandon his unrequited love for Rosaline and seek another.
Capulet wants Juliet to marry Paris. So, they holds a masked ball hoping that Paris will begin to win Juliet’s heart. The illiterate servant of Capulet invites Romeo and Juliet to the ball. Romeo decides to go to the ball to see Rosaline. When Romeo sees the Juliet, they fall in love at first sight. Romeo kisses Juliet. I am surprised because how Juliet allows Romeo to kiss her because they do not know each other very well. After that, they discover their identities as members of the opposed families. The big love starts with this surprising event.

This is the scene we are all waiting for.Finally,Romeo and Juliet meet.The dialogues beetween them are so perfect that we can't get enough of them.Romeo sees Juliet and forgets Rosaline entirely.They fall in love deeply from the moment they saw each other.We can understand the Romeo's infatuation towards Juliet from this lines:"O,she doth teach the torches to burn bright!Her beauty hangs upon the cheek of night.Like a rich jewel in an Ethiop's ear...."When they first meet,we see a dialogue with religious metaphors that is, Juliet as a saint and Romeo as a pilgrim.They kiss each other and the game begins.

The scene 2 acts as a milestone in the develpoment of the story of lovers, Romeo and Juliet. They meet coincidencally and have a very intimate converstaion without knowing the fact that they are from two feuding families and that the lovely words flowed from their lips at that night would seal their inevitable death. Until the night Romeo met Juliet, he was in love with Rosaline. But his blind love for Rosaline drained all his energy, inspiration and effort; left him in the wilderness of loneliness. The same applies for Juliet as well. She cowed into obedience to her family for years and agreed to marry to the man they believe to be her match. The fate of both are about to change forever. Romeo saw the beauty of a saint, of an angel in her face and Juliet saw the faithfullness of a devout pilgrim in his face. Romeo forgets the artless meaning of love and starts to belive that love is Juliet. Even though the writer tells the end of the story in the very beginning, one cannot help himself ask; What could men do against the power of love that unleashed itself in the presence of Romeo and Juliet?

romeo goes to the ball with the hope to see Rosaline. Actually Romeo is strange, he was dying with the love of Rosaline but he started to behave as if he did not love sb before and became mad when saw Juliet. his words are very attractive but not beliavable but still I wanted to hear them "I never saw true beauty till this night."

the act starts with an offensive brawl, but in my opinion it grasps the attention of the audience. this must be one of Shakespeare method which brings his success. then, we meet a large ball as an audience. the aim is Romeo and Juliet to meet and finally fall in love with each other. Shakespeare must have thought to show it as a shaped future by God. we understand that Romeo completely forgot Rosaline when he saw Juliet because he denies that he saw true beauty before. of course, we cannot state how much beautiful Rosaline was, but the focus is on the beauty of Juliet here. this is how nice for Juliet. :) we understand it from the lines: :"O, she doth teach the torches to burn bright! Her beauty hangs upon the cheek of night. Like a rich jewel in an Ethiop's ear...."
we can say that Romeo's love to Rosaline was unrequited then, the beauty of Juliet brings the final. however, Romeo cannot be happy with Juliet because of the serious hostility between the families.ı wish they would be so happy and share the whole life together, but it seems to be impossible. solving the big problems cannot be so easy and ı do not think love can be an effective solution. we will see together, friends...:)

Çi dedi ki...

the true love occurs at this scene..R was in a fairy tale with his love to Rosaline. however, he saw Juliet so we meet the true love...Shakespeare succeeded to grasp the attention with the fake love of Romeo to a girl whom he suddenly forgot... as i stated before we would not be so interested in this love if Romeo loved Juliet from the very beginning...

Elif Gülay dedi ki...

It is such a bizarre contradiction that Romeo suddenly gave up loving Rosaline when he saw Juliet. In fact, in a few lines above Romeo is mentioning about how he love Rosaline and the eternity of this love. In the lines ""Did my heart love till now? forswear it, sight!
For I ne'er saw true beauty till this night!", he is denying the words that he uttered and swore that it was his first love. We can understand two things here:
The first one is that Romeo loves the love itself, thats why he girls are body for this abstract term. By this way, Romeo just loves one thing during his lifetime.
Second one is about his foolishness about the understanding of love. Until
he saw Juliet, he had assumed that his childish feelings are true love. But after Juliet's love dropped into his heart, he understood what a true love is. In my opinion the story proves itself that my second assumption is true.

Act I starts with a street brawl and we happen to learn one of the turning points of the story that the one who breachs the peace is going to be punished as a consequence of this fight. We know that there is a love in the story and also we learn just in the beginning that the two lovers have almost all the things like their blood feud families against their love which makes the people wonder much more than the ordinary love stories:)

In Act I, scene ii there is a quotation;

“Take thou some new infection to thy eye,
And the rank poison of the old will die."

This quotation is very similar one of the well-known and used in the same position proverb in Turkish - diamond cut diamond. Benvolio tries to console Romeo in the same way we did to our friends. I figured out that love has the same effect and some remedial all over the world and all time, indeed.

In scene iii, there is a quotation from Juliet;

" I'll look to like, if looking move;
But no more deep will I endart mine eye
Than your consent gives strength to make it fly."

When Lady Capulet mention about Paris and his wishes to marry with Juliet, she is very obedient to her parents, but after she saw Romeo, she forgot her obedience, their families’ enmity and everything. Her passionate love will make her disobedient.

one of the most famous love stories ,romeo and juliet,prove that why their love is so big wirh their words ,I think .They love each otherwithout thinking about their family's being enemy.
this quatation is quite apprpriate for the love ı think because it is them who love each other not their names.No matter what may their name be they will be the great lovers

When we read this quotation, it seems to us that Romeo falls in love with every girl he sees.He was first in love with Rosaline.He said he wouldn't forget her.However, as soon as he sees Juliet, he changes his mind and says the same sentences for Juliet.

gussum dedi ki...

Juliet’s beauty impresses Romeo deeply. He falls in love with her at first sight. At that moment, he realizes that indeed, he has not loved Rosaline, and he has followed an artificial love. Romeo’s initial impression is described perfectly by Shakespeare. Romeo thinks Juliet is a source of light for him, and this light lightens his darkness. I think Shakespeare is a perfect guide to express deep feelings.

Romeo, gets to the ball because Rosaline will be there, forgets her entirely at the first sight of Juliet! Also, he states that he has never been in love until this moment. That Rosaline slips from Romeo’s mind when he sees Juliet shows us the fact that the love he felt for Rosaline was not deep, unique and endless.

This is the scene when the two big lovers meet. Romeo goes to the ball to see Rosaline, but meets his big love, Juliet and as soon as he sees the unique beauty of Juliet, he immediately forget about his love for Rosaline.This is very amazing because just a few lines before he seems to have a big love for Rosaline, but everything in his heart changes when he sees Juliet. His feelings for Rosaline fade away and he starts a new love, surely, a bigger one!

At the very beginning, we find out the enmity between two families Capulet and Montaques because of a street fight,which gives the hint that how love between Romeo and Juliet becomes so tragic and so big.We get this impression at the very beginning but lovers realized their names at the end of the party which was given by the Capulets.Rosaline vanished from Romeo's mind and he declared that he never loved anyone until he saw juliet.After touching Juliet's hand,Romeo kissed her.We can understand from their conversation that she took Romeo's sin after kissing him.However, they learned their names and it was the time which made me curios about the play

Everthing starts with the street fight between Montagues and Capulets.Romeo is from Montagues, Juliet is from Capulets. They see each other at the first time in a ball of Capulets. Actually, Romeo goes there for Rosaline but fall in love with Juliet in there. He thinks that he does not love anybody before. Anyhow, the quotation shows us the Romeo's idea in that moment. And their big and immortal loves start at that night...

In act 1, the bloody past of Montaques and Capulets comes out again with the street fight between two families. And prince says that the one who start such a fight again will be exiled, punished seriously. This fight shows us again the impossibility of the love between Romeo and Juliet because of the quarrel of two families.
Romeo is in love with Rosaline, an unrequited love. His friends know that and advice him to forget Rosaline and find a new girl. And , at that time ,Juliet’s family want her to marry a man, Paris. They think that a ball would be a good idea for Paris to attract Juliet and win her heart. Romeo and Benvolio go to the ball, also. Romeo sees Juliet and falls in love with her forgetting Rosaline immediately. And, he says that he has never loved so much before. Her beauty impress Romeo excessively. They love each other deeply.

Oh Romeo, how have you changed when you saw Juliet! You are too young to love so deeply I would say, but I can't. You are both so loyal to each other that you even committed suicide.Before Juliet, you thought you loved Rosaline, your unrequited love, but as soon as you saw Juliet, you understood that you had not really loved anyone like her.A major theme in the play is the power love or the true love.

ı dont believe their love is a real love, because at the begining, romeo goes to the party by force. Romeo confides that he is in love with Rosaline.Benvolio counsels him to forget this woman and find another, more beautiful one, but Romeo remains despondent.
but when he sees juliet he immediately forgets about
rosaline and loves juliet. this is ironic maybe because
ı dont believe in love at the first time.

The play starts with fight breaking out between the servants of the feuding families of Capulet and Montague. The readers recognize that their is a big enmity causing everything to get worse to the end of the play. Hopefully the fight is stopped by Prince Escalus who is the ruler of Verona .We are also informed about Romeo’s unrequited love for Rosaline for whom we doesn’t know anything except for her her name. Capulets decide to hold a ball and Romeo also wants to go there by gate crashing just for a sight of his unrequited love, Rosaline. He has been madly in love with Rosaline until he sees Juliet at the ball. We also understand that how a simple feeling Romeo’s love for Rosaline when he starts to kiss Juliet at first sight. As he says Juliet “you kissed by the book” , his love is also something similar;he loves by the book means that he just makes himself believe that he really loves. However,he forgets Rosaline ,for whom he ventured to gate crash to an enemy family’s mansion, at first sight of Juliet. We also understand that Romeo himself realised that he hasn’t had a real love from his words “Did my heart till now?.....” He knows that his love is far deeper ,more authentic and unique thn the love he felt for Rosaline. Romeo and Juliet kiss each other without knowing the bloody feud between their families which is going to cause their unlucky end.

Capulet overhears Tybalt, telling him that Romeo is well regarded in Verona and that he is not to be harmed at his feast. Tybalt agrees to keep the peace, but vows that he will not let this insult pass.

Romeo has made it across the room to Juliet’s side and they engage in a dialogue that is full of religious metaphors indicating that Juliet is a saint, and Romeo is the pilgrim who needs to have his sins absolved.
